Here’s the back of the coat with the taupe stitching. And taupe lightweight Vrille pants. I used the pattern pieces for Gypsy and modified the neckline and closed the front because I like the way it fits. I staggered the ruffles using 6” and 8” depths. I also bound my neck, arms and ruffle edge with vintage handkerchiefs that I cut into bias binding just to add a little pizazz.
I cut the long version out without measuring because I do my cutting in the middle of the night sometimes. Lol. It was shorter than I expected, so I added some additional ruffles underneath in the form of a half slip. That way I can way the shorter one with my leggings also. It’s great both ways.
I found this on Pinterest - it’s an Ewa I Walla dress and resembles our LolaLou . Lengthening that under layer and exaggerating the angle. Plus adding that trim down the center and a narrow Same-color lace around the ruffle edges . Loving the black too! I’d guess this is a light voile.
Added a specialty buttonhole and a big wooden button to punch it up a little. I did fold it up so you could see it better for picture.
Fantastic. Love the buttonhole triangle....

Loving the fabric..... going to be so very pretty! And the leather ballet slippers!!! Awesome.
I love it. Mine is cut out, but I still have to sew.
