Hello! My name is Molly. I'm fairly new here and just completed my first Tina Givens project,Fai✨!! I love how it turned out! I did not add the ruffle, nor did I include the contrast elements. I'm 5'1" and felt that they were a bit overwhelming for my frame. I cut an xs, but the only pattern adjustments I needed to make, were in the length of the bodice/skirt (reduced in total by about 3"). Otherwise, it was a beautiful fit. I chose a medium weight navy blue rayon with a pinstripe. What else? Oh, This pattern (as I made it) lent itself wonderfully to french seams, and I was able to use the fringed selvedge as the hem edge. I can't wait to try another TG pattern! 🌟

Very pretty, well done!
Thanks so much🌞!
It looks wonderful. I'm a huge fan of a navy pin-stripe... It's always a classy look.
Yes! Very versatile 🧚
You did a great job! It looks beautiful!
@Beth thanks!💘

@Pamela I've been so inspired by your sewing🧵thank you🌞
@mollyandbenb that’s very nice of you. Thank you!
Hello Molly!
You look beautiful in your Fai and it´s really flattering on you. Well done!
@penthesileia thanks🌟💕! I think that the neckline/armscyes are nicely drafted. It was very helpful for me to do a simple pin fitting (to determine waist seam and underarm pleats) before I stitched it up. This style would probably work for a variety of bodies. As a very petite lady, I was surprised that I wasn't totally overwhelmed😸!
@mollyandbenb I think the patterns work just fine for petite people, because Tina Givens herself is rather petite.
There are so many nice patterns - I´m sure you´ll have much fun with them and hope, they work out just as fine for you as your great Fai 😘
Aww thanks!
really sweet dress looks adorable on you.
@merfaerie 🥰thanks!
