I made this version of Elope as a test actually, and I love it. The top is made from %100 softened linen, in Firecracker red, the under dress is %100 sheer linen in Gauze Stripes. I get all my linen from fabric-store.com they have beautiful linens at the best prices.
The pants, I wasn’t sure about the fit, and I have a gorgeous piece of grey linen I really wanted to use. But I tested it on some leftover 108” quilt backing from my daughters quilt I made. Lol. It’s grey script & I Love them. They are adorable. I‘m going to go ahead and make up the grey linen, but these are going to go straight into fall for me!!!
Now I’m ordering some special fabric for Xmas! Pants in Gold silk dupioni and a navy and gold top with a navy silk organza under dress. I’m really excited.
Thank you Tina, you did it again. Another superb pattern!
Really lovely outfit, love the fabrics.
great outfit, love the red. I also adore the linens from the Fabric Store. Glad to see you made this pattern up, it is so fabulous!
Very Nice! Love the TG pattern and fabrics
Your undress or slip, what pattern was it? Was it a TG pattern? I do not recognize.
What about the pants fit you were not sure about? and did you have to alter to fit you?
You look exceptional! Great color combination! Can't wait to see the blue and gold!
@attedragon
I used the Jaqueline slip dress as per the back of the Elope pattern. It just hangs different in linen. I wasn’t sure about the length of the pants. I’m short, 5’3” and I wanted them long enough for fall and winter. Not short because I live Oklahoma and it gets cold here. Deej.
@attedragon i did lengthen them a little. I also like the slimmer fit for me. I have enough bulk through my chest without more in my legs. I didn’t have to take anything out in legs.
Thank you for your reply! .d
Thank you! Your whole outfit is superb! Loving it all! I love Elope too! Thanks for posting Dee.
