Last weekend I made this Etra out of 125 gsm off white linen (from LINENGRAPHY on Etsy which has absolutely GORGEOUS soft linen, might have just bought more from them... oops!). I changed the neckline though as I don't like a low scoop on me and prefer a slightly shallower neck (and it's the same both sides so I don't have to figure out which way I have to put it on!). (I made it at the largest size on the pattern, I am 5'8" and wear a UK 14-16 which I THINK is a USA 10-12).
I made it a BIT too wide so next time I make it I will bring it in slightly so I don't have to use a strapless bra to wear it! It's so floaty and lovely and I added an extra cuff to the cuff in the pattern and I'm SO pleased with the finish of the dress as with the Abercorn I didn't do well with that at all (that has now been made into scraps for something else!) and I didn't like the abercorn style on me either. I am going to make the Annabelle next and some plinkas! I've got some black 125 gsm of the same linen on the way as well as some pale pink (that I plan on making another Annabelle out of).
Please excuse the filthy mirror! Pants are my own design but in the gorgeous TG fabric she had for sale a couple of years ago!
When i put it together there was a big extra bit on the armhole, so I just chopped that off. I'll make sure to alter the pattern to account for that now.
