All of my adult life I have wanted to journey to India for one main reason—to purchase fabric! Today I received some block printed fabric from India! There are a number of vendors on Etsy! This vendor is Blockprintjaipur. It took about three weeks to get my fabric and it’s Beautiful and very lightweight—basically like a voile. The cost per yard is cheap but the shipping Isn’t so much. Still, at combined yardage, tax, and shipping price, I am still looking at a bit under $15/yard. Also, this lovely vendor included some extra yardage at no additional charge, so yay! I’m going to use one of the prints to line the Peplone jacket. I’m planning to make Peplone from some linen I got from Merchant and Mills. It’s really fun in making these clothes to search for the perfect fabrics and choose what I love. I love making something no one else I know will have. Uniquely my taste. It’s fun anticipating my fabric arriving in the mail one day and dreaming about what I’ll make. 😉

Absolutely beautiful. Looking forward to what you make.
I absolutely love indian hand block fabric! It's SO soft too. I have heaps of the stuff hoarded and have an indigo one with spots that I plan on making plinka pants with! Maybe Plinka, not sure. These are so lovely!
Plinka are one of my favorite pants. You will love them!
