How is it I can create this beautiful vintage lace wall organizer but sewing patterns I struggle with? Is the freedom I have to create but sewing I don't have as much freedom? Just trying to figure out how to get more focused lol
Really special your vintage artwork. I struggle with sewing all the time being tall and big presents problems for me. I suggest simple patterns with minimal shapes until you become more confident with your sewing style the new pattern hack of the Zelda is a great way to feel better about sewing. I'm making the new t shirt top in a cotton guaze. But plan on making the pants and top again when i find the right print fabric. Keep sewing love your artwork thanks for sharing.
Thank you. I get so overwhelmed with the fabric picking and choosing. I have started a notebook and am going through all of you ladies past post taking notes and about the fabric you used...if I go a fabric store I am going to look like a school girl with my notebook and pics of patterns. Yall motivate me to keep going so I can have pretty close like yall do....and your shoes make me smile after looking over your new outfits I look straight at your shoes lol
You have an incredible talent. I’m an so envious. I would love to create such beautiful artwork. I agree with @merfaerie simple lines and easy directions will be suited best for you To start with. If you are are wanting trousers the Jacqueline pant is an easy one to make. Anyone us of is also here to answer questions if you run into a spot of trouble. Don’t hesitate to ask.
Organizer seems like a common word for such a beautiful piece of art! You are so talented and will be able to translate your sewing skills to clothes. I’m new-ish here and started w pants. As a beginning sewist, I agree that the Jacqueline pants are straightforward and easy to sew. I made a trial pair in muslin before I cut some lightweight linen that I bought on sale.
