I finally finished my Nancy Drew Dress in time to wear it to host my Thanksgiving dinner bash. I made it from a piece of 60” wide black white and red plaid I had in my stash for several years. I love plaids, checks and polka dots! This seemed like the perfect fabric. The coordinating fabric is a red Mickey Mouse print cotton!!! So cute. Especially on the back tab and under collar where it peeks out. The coordinating fabric is a red Mickey Mouse print cotton!!! So cute. 🐭 You can’t see it in this picture because of the turtle neck, but it was sleeting and so cold here onThanksgiving
I did shorten it and shorten the sleeves for me. i used the the XS and reduced the skirt width some. You need to realize... just because I say I use the XS I’m not a tiny person. The patterns are Just oversized and I just make sure I measure them before I cut so I don’t have huge clothing? I learned that early on with this style of patterns. Black leggings and my rhinestone slippers finish the look!
