It didn't work on me (and I didn't do the super wide gathered pants like you did Pamela) and just does me NO favours at all. SO, I've kept the top and will maybe use that for something in future and made the pants into just pants. This was when the crotch hadn't been sewn in yet! I have a non TG pattern for dungarees that I think I will be making instead.
Spent last weekend making a kimono after this went wrong and just have hand sewing left to do on it which I will do in the evenings this week. This weekend I may try some Plinka pants and also a slip. Priscilla, Sugar or Madeline?
Here are the pics... !

Too bad! So sorry you don’t like them but I have to say I think they are so cute! I’m surprised you don’t like them because they look so loose and comfortable. I think they are adorable! 😢
Oh it's ok! It was a really fun project even though it didn't end up as I wanted. I kind of wished i'd gone for the MEGA wide pant that you had done with yours, but for me it felt like if I had bought these, I would have sent them back. I love comfortable but I want it to look nice and flattering too and I feel like where the pockets are, they just are making my narrowest point my widest point...
@Emily I tried to comment that I put little loops and buttons at the pockets to hold them closed. I think yours—in that Eggplant purple—would be so cute Softly rumpled and with a bright lime or olive green or navy tank or cami. I originally made mine for at home and in the garden but I like them enough to wear them out in public. I imagine a button up shirt, cardigan, and excellent shoes In the fall. My original reply disappeared so I hope this doesn’t show up twice. I hate to disagree but I think yours are slimming. Love the wide legs. They balance you out. IMO 😜
@Pamela Ah thank you! Well... maybe what I'll do is make them again (maybe buy some more of that plum fabric for the bottoms) and do them wider like you did next time. MAYBE! It's funny isn't it what we think is flattering for us and how others see us!
this happens to me all the time. Tiny girls look great in jumpsuits. Won't even go into how many bombs I've made over the years. There are some patterns no matter what you do dont work but they can always be what I call home clothes you did a great sewing job.
Yeah I need to go for a more fitted style for a dungaree I think maybe. Still, the bottom part made some really lovely long jaqueline pants! LOVE this plum pink colour so much.
@Emily glad you have some cute pants out of the effort. If you save the bib you can use it for designing something else maybe.
